  2. My mother used to have a Volvo 1800ES and a Jensen Interceptor. She's always liked unusual cars. I have never seen a Soviet car but I did see an East German Trabant poddling around Newport Beach a couple years ago.

    1. Was the Trabant by any chance white with California license plate IRNCRTN? I found one on Flickr that lives in SoCal fitting that description. Too bad I didn't know about it; I was just in Southern Cal last month.

  4. i was surprised to see clark cortez motorhomes on your list. i just sold a 1964 cortez. an extremely well thought out,and engineered vehicle.powered by a beefed up chrysler slant six with a side draft carter carb, and driven with a compound low four speed transaxle.the suspension was four wheel independent, and was stout enough to be military.the body was built stronger than a schoolbus and the interior was configured as cleverly as a VW westfalia. a VERY cool rig.
oh, cant forget the gasoline fueled heater fed by a 1/4 in line from the gas tank.
