An old man I ...I like the styling of this Plymouth. An old man I knew when I was a kid was still driving one in 1965. He moved on to a '56 Chevy only after he wrecked the Plymouth. My father said that he had one as well, and liked it, but traded it needlessly when he succumbed to a test drive of a used '52 Packard. Postwar Chrysler products remained tall and boxy while other makes became more streamlined. I read that K.T. Keller, then head of Chrysler, rejected more modern styling, insisting that men needed to be able to wear hats while driving. The Plymouth featured here is in pretty good shape considering how long it's been around. It appears to not have had any special cosmetic attention.I can imagine this car having come out of storage after being parked long ago when it's owner stopped driving it. Real car guys have admitted that they have begun to pay attention to and appreciate these cars after not giving them a second look just a few years ago.
