I've never had the chance to compare both side by side but now that you mention it, they do look different on close inspection of photos of each model. Thanks for your insight! Seems I didn't give Welly enough credit (though I'm still disappointed the back doors don't open on a truck that's plenty large enough to make that work.)Jay Wollenweberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09143862063193463448noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7847382031474642320.post-41458642337689192802015-03-17T17:07:40.440-07:002015-03-17T17:07:40.440-07:00Wonderful pictures and write-up Jay. I wonder if you'll see this, with the article being 7 months old, but as an owner of a couple of the Ertl Suburbans and a couple of the Welly Suburbans, I can attest to the fact that they are totally different castings whose only relation is the fact they represent the same general vehicle. The Ertl is a bit larger in every aspect (the Welly, unfortunately is approximately 1/19 scale, instead of true 1/18). I am unaware of any 1/18 scale Welly models which were old toolings from other companies.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
